Summer Workshop 2010

Benenden Players successfully runs pantos with large casts of children and adults.

The idea of the workshops arose to interest new talent and give the children that already enjoyed the panto experience a focused and fun way to learn new skills and gain a better understanding of the whole process of putting on a show.

We offered them workshops in:

Costumes

Makeup

Scenery and props

putting together a programme

Sounds and music

choreography

Acting and singing

We start with a script frame work allocate the roles and then encourage the children to build and develop their parts.

We only charge a small fee for the whole week to encourage a whole range of the community to take part and have a go.

We all take great pleasure in seeing the change in the childrens confidence through out the week.

You can see it too in the fantastic performance that ends their week of hard work fun and laughter.
